Is New Capitalism Narcissism

Capitalism and Narcissism: An Unexpected Parallel in a Troubled World

Realistically, or practically, they are not the same. But have we ever looked into the similarities? Well, the result is surprising. We all know that capitalism is an economic or financial system where the rich want to get richer, and they don’t care about the process or who might get damaged or broken. So, how is it similar to narcissism? The narcissists are dominant, aggressive, and manipulative, and they believe that they are the core of the world. They see themselves as deserving everything, while others are neglected based on their feelings and thoughts. Psychologically, they don’t care about the process or who might get damaged or broken.

When profit and admiration collide can healing ever begin?

When I did my search, I wasn’t surprised to see many world leaders are characterized by narcissism. There are leaders from various parts of the world across the American, Asian, European continents. Most of them have similar traits, mass harm, destructive, manipulative, paranoid, destructive, dominant, cruel, sadist and many more.

How and why do narcissist capitalists look alike? What are the commonalities? They both focus on their ego, while the narcissist seeks self-importance, and the capitalist seeks self interest for progress. The narcissist feels superior to everyone, and the capitalist feels a need to outperform everyone. The narcissist can never have enough admiration and always seeks the next admiration, while the capitalist can never have enough profit and personal growth and always seeks the next profit or income.

Finally, with these criteria in hand, would the world be healed? No doubt, it won’t. When ruled by psychological disorders, the chances of healing are next to zero, if not below zero. Imagine we are ruled by those who need treatment by psychiatrists; it’s obvious that it is difficult to heal. Yet, as I am always optimistic, if the world puts a collective effort, if the people wake up, if we start from our own circles, our own surroundings, then yes, we can start making a difference. There is nothing impossible; people can make a difference through solidarity and unity. Only then we can live in peace and progress.
