Innovation in Dubai isn’t just about iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, a symbol of limitless possibility. It’s also about a mindset shift—from “Alien/Green Card” to the “Golden Visa” welcoming talent instead, from “Handicapped” to “People of Determination” and most significantly from being received by “Homeland Security” to the warm smiles of the proud Emiratis flaunting their local garb.” It’s about the “Happiness Centres” across all the emirates, safety and security second to none, extending aid to communities globally, the warm welcome regardless of your background, and yes, having a Ministry of Artificial Intelligence—progressive changes that make Dubai a pioneer on every front.
As someone who travels often for work I, like many, thought I’d be here for just a few years. Now, 15 years later, I’m still amazed by how smoothly this city functions. Clearing immigration at the airport in minutes and hopping into a cab within 15 is unmatched by any other city I’ve visited. However, Dubai isn’t just ahead of everyone because of its skyscrapers, its booming economy, or its technological advancements, Dubai is ahead because it dares to dream bigger, move faster, and think beyond. It is a place where the impossible becomes possible, and for that reason, I believe Dubai will continue to lead the way for years to come. You can certainly blame Dubai for setting the highest standards that most developed countries would not be able to achieve because they have opted to focus on agendas that do not serve the true interests of their citizens and residents.
Thank you, Dubai.
